Perfect Peppered Sirloin Steak 'n' Chips

Rare - 8 min.
Med - 10 min.
Med rare - 12 min.
Well done - 15 min.
Serves: 2
• 350g (12oz) potatoes (such as maris piper)
• 2 x 275g (10oz) sirloin steaks
• freshly ground black pepper
METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 400F/200C/Gas mark 6.
Peel the potatoes and cut into chips.
Rinse each steak and pat dry with absorbent kitchen paper.
Season each side thoroughly with freshly ground black pepper.
Arrange the chips onto your Cookrite plate and cook for 15 minutes.
Add the steaks to the same plate as the chips (which should now be beginning to brown lightly) and cook for a further:
8 minutes for medium rare.
10 minutes for medium.
12 minutes for medium to well done.
15 minutes for well done.
